Visual Treat: Photography by Romain Veillon

I am very excited to share these super stunning shots by the French photographer, Romain Veillon, who finds beauty in the deserted and the abandoned.

There is so much story in each picture.

The objects left behind and the colours in each photograph makes for a compelling visual narrative.

RV6Time seems to have coagulated here.

So surreal and sensory–I almost got a whiff of the dust as I walked into this room full of books–obviously in my head.

Looking at the couch (above), I am also reminded of the movie–The King’s Speech. If you haven’t seen it, I highly recommend it. There is a similar surreal quality to the recurring visual element of the vintage couch against the scraped wall in the movie.

The photographs are a part of Roman Veillon’s  residential project and can be found here on his website.
